Benner & Foran provide consultation and assistance to individuals seeking foreign student visas (F-1 or M-1) and professional/specialty worker visas (H-1B).

Foreign Student Visas
Students are persons temporarily admitted into the United States to pursue academic or vocational studies. The F-1 category includes students in universities, colleges, seminaries, conservatories and other academic institutions. The M-1 category includes vocational students.

Professional/Specialty Worker Visas
In order to obtain a professional/specialty worker visa (H-1B), an individual must demonstrate that they will be working in a "specialty occupation". A "specialty occupation" is an occupation that requires the theoretical and practical application or a body of highly specialized knowledge and the attainment of a bachelor's degree or higher in the specific specialty, or its equivalent, to enter into the occupation in the United States.

Treaty Trader Visas
Individuals can apply for an E-1 visa if you have opened a company or have been offered a job as a key employee of a company owned by citizens of your home country.

Treaty Investor Visas
Individuals eligible for the E-2 visa are citizens of a country holding investor treaties with the United States who intend to work for a company financed by a considerable cash investment by citizens of your home country. The company must be involved in trade or rendering services and may be owned by the applicant or at least fifty percent owned by a citizen(s) of your home country.
